According to the "Aerial Assault" rule, a Nightscythe that moved in cruising speed can fire all of its weapons. But since its only weapon is the TL Tesla Destructor, wouldn't be able to fire it anyway, due to its Fast unit type?
Is that rule completely useless to Night Scythes?
I think they gave it the rule for fluff, to make it seem like it was a faster, more agile craft. Also, the platform is the same as the Doom Scythe, which has the AA rule also, so I think it may have made sense to have the platform get the rule as a whole.
Also, their is a chance that the movement rules will change in 6th, we won't know for sure until the book is in our hands, so it might be premeditated for the change in movement rules.
Unless their is something else my brain is skipping over (been known to happen). All the same, you get to move at cruising speed and shoot, which is never a bad thing.
I think you will find that 6th edition rules will change this situation. From what I hear, the Scythes will be "Flyer" types and will have different rules attached to them. I believe the term "supersonic" will have it's own new rule in 6th. We'll see.
Wait...what? where does it say the doomscythe has AA capabilities? (sorry dont have dex handy)
oops im sorry. For some resason i was thinking AA was anti aircraft..
