A simple way to survive a doomsday ark it to move behind cover, but with 3 is there a way to force your opponent into cover instead of just hiding behind it? If so, would a ctan be a good thing to have also? I looked at an army list that had 3 doomsday arks in it. If 1 goes in the middle, then 1 on each side of the board do you think it is possible to force your opponent to move through cover to avoid being shot down, then make them take dangerous with the ctan power. Has anyone tried this? I just started thinking about this and haven't decided if it a good idea or a horrible idea that is making you all shake your heads with disappointment.
Whilst I haven't tried this specific tactic, I'd say it was certainly one of the valid ones to go with Writhing Worldscape. I see it as there being 3 possible builds with Tremorcrons: a more static gunline that has so much firepower that it forces the enemy into cover (your idea), a faster shooting army with Tomb Blades and Scythes, and a semi-mobile core with threatening combat elements such as Wraiths. I think that if you could castle the back of the board to protect the Arks then this is perfectly legit as a strategy, but you'd need a hell of a lot of longer range weapons, I think Destroyers might actually fit into this list quite well, as well as spamming our 36"+ range weapons.

An interesting idea, but it's an idea that costs 800-odd points just for the C'tan and 3 Doomsday Arks! And if you lose one or two of those Arks, the entire tactic may start to unravel rather quickly. Something for 3000+ point games perhaps.

well I do like to run 2 Doomsday Arks and an Annihilation Barge in most of my 1500+ lists, with them at the corners it tends to push things into cover. I like to use the annihilation barge to take out the grouped up enemies with the tesla destructor. they tend to work really well like that... I use the Arks for tanks (along with scarabs) and the annihilator for infantry, I usually also like to to drop in a command barge and 2 groups of 20 warriors with lords. has a fairly decent record with that list.
