I plan on lighting my vehicles, however have NO clue how to go about doing this. Does anyone have a link to some basic wiring guide or suggestions?
My Army motif is going to be that of a Tau Police Force, and was wanting to get my vehicles with alternately flashing red and blue lights, as well as constant white lights for headlights.
Does anyone know if this can be done without creating enough heat that might damage the plastic?
I figure I can have the on/off switch, and the battery in the rear compartment of my vehicles, but im concerned about regular use of opening and shutting the rear door and the possibility of breaking a peice in doing such. Has anyone experianced breakage of the rear door hinges by opening and closing a non glued rear door?
I would appriciate insight, and suggestions on this
well i can only vouce for the back hatch. one of my marines rhinos is unglued, and hasnt broken yet, and stays closed even. so that shouldnt be a problem. i would assume your devilfish would be fine, unless you have the battery pack rolling around inside.
in a white dwarf a ways back i saw a thousand sons army converted so that EVERY model had green glowing eyes. kinda neat how he cut up the models and drilled wire holes for em. but i would say the plastic should hold up to the heat LEDs would give off.
sounds like a great idea though- hope you find out more about the wiring and stuff, and good luck on the project. post some pictures when you get it done
You should use LEDs. Almost no heat, miniscule power requirements, run em off a AAA battery.
You could glue the door shut and make it a non-issue... =\
