Welcome to Librarium Online!
I always underestimated Aun'shi. But he isn't so bad. I had my Aun'shi 16 kroot and a krootox facing opf against blood angel assualt marines and the charged. My kroot kept dieing to that sergent and his other marines. Then aun'shi got in base to base with the sergent and killed him. Then he slowly wiped out the whole squad like they were nothing. I ended up having 5 kroot Aun'shi with full wounds and krootox with full wounds.
AUnshi actually works better with FW, gives em bonuses.
With a 4+ inv. save, the ability to parry enemie's attacks and a rending weapon, he is certainly the best combat unit the tau have. Albeit a risky one to lose.
The enemies of the Emperor fear many things. They fear discovery, defeat, despair and death. Yet there is one thing they fear above all others. They fear the wrath of the Space Marines!
I think in the new 4th ed rules or the Tau FAQ, it makes his weapon rending now. Which makes him even better.
Actually, makes it exactly the same as it was already.
Lol, no kidding. Basically they looked at Aun'Shi and though, "whoa, his weapon is exactly like a rending weapon...maybe we should just call it that, eh?"Originally posted by Sir_Prometheus@Nov 2 2004, 13:59

did he get an extra d6 to armor pen if he rolls a 6 before?
no, he didn't get the armor penetration bonus
Protect your frailty in a Mechanical body.
Remove your frailty with mobility.
Hide your frailty in a body unseen.
What I'm wondering is why you thought that Aun'shi wasn't that good in the first place. He has tons of attacks, wounds, and can parry enemy attacks. And I've always wondered how tall he and his blade is...
The only thing that is stopping you from being what you can be is what you think other people think about you.
If you could say one thing to the world, what would it be?
