Suggestions....

Primary Color / Secondary Color

White / Any Light Color
Light Blue / Dark Blue
Dark Green / Light Green
Purple / Bronze
Black / Gold
White / Silver

Also, make use of perminent ink pens for the color separations. I.e. Large White Area, Black Line, Small Lime Green Area.

Make use of patterns, i.e. Jagged Lines, Curves, and what not. Makes for excellent look.

A nice complimentary Color is nice to paint on larger black area, of primary non black paint jobs. I.e. On a White / Violet Firewarrior, Paint the end a section of the gun black, with red or blue stripes.

Another suggestion for striping, if you have trouble with handling fine lines with a paint brush.....

Goto any Arts and Crafts store, and buy a set of Koh-i-noor RapidoCraft™ pens, and a bottle of Trans-Mix™ Opaque White ink. Should be about $35 US for the pens, and $4 US for the ink, Though Koh-i-noor pens are messy to clean, they are very nice. The set includes an Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Bold pen.

The Opaque White will draw on any surface, and color and leave a white line.

I dont know if Trans-Mix™ has any other Opaque Colors, you might want to look, but make sure you buy the Opaque, as they also sell Transparent inks as well.

I like the white colour[ I think it is the Dal'th sept]. If you don't like that then maybe you should see the normal colours.

first i went for the standard colour scheme (vomit brown +scorched brown), but found that a bit boring and annoying to paint, and i lost enthusiasm big time, and stopped doing anything with them. Then i started to paint them boltgun mtl armour and black cloth, with red eyes. After a while i didnt like this anymore and stopped again!!! :glare: :realmad: :hmm: This is coz they looked pretty tacky and crap, a bit cheap and boring, with no real fluff or theme. I just quite liked skkkkilver armour . Yes, SKKKKKILVER
However, I gave it some thought. And now ive got a great clour scheme with great theming.
'Bahamut's Chosen'
'The Dragon Caste'
Bahamut is the King of Dragons for non-FF peeps (he is in D&D too)
They have Regal Blue armour and black cloth, with yello eyes (sunburst, not bad moon!!! )
Just carry on trying colour schemes, but don't go too crazy or ur TAU will look a mess. I think that thinking up a theme is a good idea, because then you can get a good cl.sm pretty well. TAU look good in a lot of colours!
By the way, what colours are ur armies, Tonya Tau and Tau37?

PS: BAHAMUT RULES. NUFF SAID. :glare:   :shifty:

Earthy peeps, Bestial brown, etc.
Evil tau, black red whatever
Tau from the cursed Mont'au, where they were all killin each other
Homo tau lol lol lol :hmm:  why....why.... pinks and purples
Chaos Tau (a bit of a dumb idea as a lot of peeps pointed out on a different thread) chaosy colours, which can be anyfink
ETC. ETC.
