This probably should go in the painting forum, but I don't care.
Anyways, my army is a basic metal, with gold armor, a little lack on things such as guns, and of course, scorpion green for tubes and such. So my question is what color should I paint my lords cape? I was just thinking a basic black, with grey for highlights, but that would look kinda bland, I think. So does any one have a oppinion on what might look beter? I was thinking a dark blue might be cool, but would kinda be out of place... Thanks for your help.
I would do it dark blue.
Red looks really good on it.
possbaly do it similar to the 'lith black with an eerie green tint

2 layers of thinned down scab red
Red gore highlights
blood red hightlight
blazing orange hightlights on the highest raised parts
Red ink wash
gloss varnish finish.

I can't explain you would not understand
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
Mine is a dark red, and it makes him look very scary, I have trouble going to sleep some nights bc of him!

i painted mine to match the bases i made out of large pebbles. those i painted black, highlighted with fortress grey, and then did a final highlight of skull white. simple, but VERY nice looking. i did the same thing on the cape. i also added a little bit of dirt to the bottom of the cape with scorched brown, then highlighted by snakebite leather.
too bad most of the pebbles have fallen off. i always get comments about how nice the bases look but theyre just not worth the hassle as they just dont last.
Well my lord's cape is blood red. First model I ever painted. No undercoat, just a sloppy mythril silver, some red on the cape and then red on his scythe. It is the WORST possible model. I plan on touching him up a bit along with the second necron model painted.. (warrior. No base. Just all silver with a black gun.)
