Welcome to Librarium Online!
Before I ask, many people will probably think just like they think with player-made Special Characters - not worth it, never play with them, and you make them too cheesy. Well, I was wondering if anybody could come up with their own Craftworld, Craftworld rules, and special Craftworld characters that you actually play with? (And maybe a system/equation for coming up with a balanced Craftworld?)
No, not really.
But you could try it with friends. My buddies wouldnt have a problem with it...I should try. what type of craftworld rules did you want to use anyways?
I'm not really positive, as it almost seems like the (extreme) different choices are all represented. You have the all-bikes, all-aspects, all-Wraiths, all-Rangers, etc. Maybe it could focus on something similar to that, but instead of just rules like that have special rules making some squads better (like Ranger's Alaitoc disruption dice, for example) and restricting some other squads, etc. Any ideas?
I'am making my own Craft World but Im using regular Eldar rules - Im just making fluff for them.
Maybe a combination of Saim Han and Biel Tan. That would be wicked. Have 5 or so falcons with small aspect squads in each one. That would be very cool.
Perhaps combining aspect warriors and psychers. Maybe a warrior that uses psychic powers in CC to own. Sometype of warlock, with a sword that if you pass a psychic test it becomes a power weapon. Or powers to make the warlock model count as 10 models for out numbering purposes... Or If a psychic test is passes all eldar with a unit within 12" gets +1 to strength until end of turn.
That should be the new eldar, if there ever was one...
But thats not really creating your own craftworld as much as creating your own units....
I dont know im stumped
i enjoy coming up with random crap for craftworlds and stuff, it's always intresting and manages to flex my creativeness a bit. I hoping to see some new stuff for craftworlds eldar in the new codex(s). but who knows, playing with your own (balanced) rules against friends could be entertaining.
The problem, as already stated, is that GW has already made every possible specialized eldar army list. I dont think anyone here can create one...if you can tell us
I love to whip up rules and stuff like that, infact I once made an entire 40k race that uses extensive psychic powers (all their weapons were psychic based, and everything about them was totaly psychic).
