I think Tau should be a mix army of cc and shooting.

I wouldnt call it the most useless poll ever. Sure, NO one should put CC, but in their fluf, they talk much about the martial arts, and many if not all of the models have a very samurai/shogun look. While their army is perfectly balanced as is and fits in well with the 40k world, fluff-wise, i would expect them to be at least SLIGHTLY better in CC than they are
yes, in the fluff they do talk about "martial arts", and i'm sure a Tau FW trained in the aforementioned "martial arts" could defeat in CC a Tau FW NOT trained in "martial arts"... but imo the prowess of these "martial arts" end there...

COme on now? They lost the CC ability to have accsess to the dvestating power of their guns. str 5 Base guns wtih CC ability? Newp. Sorry. No good. No Dice.
I am just starting a Tau army, but one thing I do notice is this. That Tau weapons outrange any others I have dealt with or seen... So with this in mind.. I say to keep one at arm's length is best. especially with the smaller CC characteristics of the Tau in general.. After all, a stopped Tau is a dead Tau

Tau should definetley stick to being shooty. There are so many CC orientated armies in 40k: Dark Eldar, Blood Angels, Tyranids, Orks. The tau make a refreshing change and an interesting challenge.
