I'm just about to start building my Eldar army and it's probably gonna be Saim Hann. Any tips before I start my first bike? I'm guessing it's easier to paint the bike and rider seperately before joining them but any other tips?
Are any of the parts a notoriously bad fit? Anything need filling? Anything else need painting before it's mounted on the bike? How do you keep the banner pole attached if you don't glue it? Is an airbrush essential?
Any tips for Vypers and Falcons while I'm here?
Lot's of questions I know but any tips would be appreciated.
Convert the riders!!! the old models are ugly as butt, just new guardians w/ the legs and arms of the old riders.... or convert those parts as well. Just don't make them outta the old torso/heads.
Why is the 2-piece torso and legs bad?
A couple tips that I've gleaned from the jetbikes I've painted.
1-For quality, paint all the pieces seperatly then glue them together with a tiny amount of glue(less is more with superglue, and you don't want to ruin those clean lines!
2-For me, getting the arms to line up properly with the shoulders and the bike handlebars/controls is difficult, so do a trial run of that, possibly using tacky putty to see how it looks.
3-Keep them the hell away from your 9month old puppy that likes to chew on EVERYTHING!
Good luck with them!
It's all up to the zombies now, really.
