Welcome to Librarium Online!
i know that a lot of people are playing as ulthwe, in fact most eldar armies i've seen are ulthwe, but in the spirit of being fdifferent, i looked in my Codex: Craftworld Eldar, adn found that biel-tan have a lot of stuff that is too my liking. i was all ready and excited about getting an avatar and some exarches for my Court of the Young King when i overheard soemone talking aout how cheap biel-tan is. so now i'm wondering if everyone considers biel-tan to be cheap (much like i consider anything that is made up of humans like space marines, chaos, whitch hunters, demon hunters, etc.) or if this was jsut one guy who got beat down by biel tan and we bitter. in additon just as a kind of p.s., do the avatar and the court move as one unit or do they jsut count as one HQ choice, but get to move independently of eachother as the independent charater rules would imply? thanks in advance

They move as one unit. And the court of the young king isnt that great. They are one of the biggest fire magnets ever. They will be shot at by everything, and they die almost just as easily as their ceahp normal aspect warriors.
But anyways biel tan is good, but they are just like an other army. They can be powergamed, but i think they are a very fair army, just because a space marine player loses doesnt mean that the army that beat him is cheap.
a balanced beil-tan army is not cheap. its when you start to write army lists that are designed to take out specific armies that you should start to worry. i really don't like the idea of people writing an army list just to beat someone else, i approve of a tournament army ie. can take on everything.
