Welcome to Librarium Online!
Recently took a look at the new rulebook *coughkazaacough*, and a few things caught my eye.
1. The reintroduction of sweeping advances autoslaughter. But the main thing is of course the fact that it is from Int! So despite it being more difficult to get our aspects into CC, it is certainly more profitable!
2. str 6 as the defensive weapon cut off. This is quite nice as it finally allows Shuriken cannons to serve a purpuse, and not only that but... Starcannons are str 6... Hehehe.... Falcons just became ALOT more deadly.
What other things have you noticed that effect the way Eldar are played?
Not that I use them, or ever would with these point costs, but jetbikes and shining spears now get that invul save if they boost; prolonging their lives and making them even faster.
My Biel Tan have seen nothing but Pro's from 4th edition. I played TAR ever since they came out years before 4th so I've been used to the no charging from a moving transport for a very long time
I've lost very few games since 4th because my Falcons are much more devestating, striking scorpions can infiltrate more often and fire dragons are more destructive against vehicles
Some of the Cons tho are that you cant hide wraithlords and you cant screen the Avatar with the IC rules any longer
-skimmers no longer block line of sight, so disembarking your cc aspect squad is foolish unless you can charge that turn (ie. the vehicle didn't move beforehand)
-new LOS rules mean that dark reapers can't be screened by guardians anymore, so their life exectancy was suddenly reduced.
-everyone now gets to move and rapid fire 2 shots, making our assault 2 guardians nothing special except being able to charge afterwards - oooh, great consolation prize.
-warpspider exarchs are a bit useless, charging with them negates the rest of the squad but not charging is a wast of points.
Im just curious, where does it negate being able to block LOS to dark reapers with Guardians? As far as I saw, the only LOS changes had to do with Monsterous Creatures and large targets.
The place where it says models dont block LOS to other models, unless they are MCs or vehicles.Im just curious, where does it negate being able to block LOS to dark reapers with Guardians? As far as I saw, the only LOS changes had to do with Monsterous Creatures and large targets.
