Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm trying to fill some space on my Alaitic list and I need some good CC power. I already have 1 Wraithlord with a BL, would I get a lot of complaints if I used 2 wraithlords? I like thier BS of 4 and I like their CC abilities. It gives me the best of both worlds and they would live onger then my warwalkers.
Is this cheese? If so, I won't field 2.
2 Wraithlords will probably be called cheesy in any Eldar list except Iyanden where it would be appropriate.
Games Workshop is the Wal-Mart of hobby products, except for the low prices. The lack of respect and profit mongering is there in spades.
I've run two before, and yes, it was considered cheesy by my opponents... whiny whores.
So all someone has to do is come to these message boards and say its cheesy and you'll just never use them? That sure was a waste of 40 dollars then heh
again, someone will call ANYTHING you do in 40k cheesy. If you let them dictate how you have fun, you'll never enjoy the game or your army
IMO wraithlords are not cheesy, they take up a heavy slot, are slow and can be killed rather easily by Ap3 high strength guns. Chaos players generally take greater demon + demon prince which is A LOT faster and scarier than 2 silly wraithlords
I actually borrowed the second for the tourney i used them in. My comp. score was very low from a couple opponents b/c of the 2 WLs... and cuz one moron thought DR were plain old cheesy anyway... whiny whores.
I think theyre fine. Nothing some stealers couldnt turn into sushi.

coming from a person who generally doesnt like eldar. I would say 2 wraithlords is fine. I dont have a problem with it unless it is an Iyanden army. I know they are appropriet for the army. But I cannot stand the biel-tan or Iyanden army lists. I find most most of these armies after constrution would have way too many heavy supports. At the conflict tourney I attended I fought an Iyanden army. It phased out my necrons turn 2. After battle report. The guy had the equivilant of 7 heavy support options. My friends biel-tan army list has 5 heavy support.
Personally I think that is just wrong. Their is a reason that their is only 3 heavy support choices. And the iron warriors cause they are siege army should be the only exception. And no eldar should be able to school them in heavy supports. I dont have a problem with wraithlords and the standard army list. Cause then its taking up a precious heavy support. But a normal eldar list should take as many wraithlords as it see's fit.
That is rediculous... Iyanden w/out WLs? They can only take 3, just like any other Eldar army, and in order to take 3, they have to pay a ton of points for Wraithguard (175 is the minimum cost for a squad i believe). Tis good fluff too.
i dont really care what my opponent takes, coz i know if he spends too much points in a certain area, he would have to spend less points in another area. the more wraithlord my opponent take to better, less tanks.
I'd say it's all about the total cost of the army. Two wraithlords in a 1k battle? No thanks but if you are playing 1700 for example I'd say two or even three is just fine. I am running 2 lords in a 1k army list but then again I'm playing Iyanden.
Anyone who is whining at two Wl at 1500+ is just dumbasses. Start whining when they have two(?! tanks or more. :realmad:
