Welcome to Librarium Online!
for a 20 point wargear item you use only once in tha game is it worth it?
I never take it.
Only works for a unit the lord is with, and even then it is a gamble. If it worked for the whole necron army, or enforced night-fighting rules for 1 turn, then I would use it to gain some ground on a shooty army, but as it stands IMHO it is not worth it.
Wednesday nights at GW (Ontario Mills in Ontario, CA)
4-7-05 - SoB 1200, S&D Omega, Opponent was new.
4-7-05 - ME! Chris beats me again with his space wolves (he is a good palyer without his eldar).
I think it's not worth it. But I am going to try to use it with a Lord and Pariah unit to save the Pariahs from a round of shooting, bring it closer to the enemy. Not sure how it wil work though ...
- Resistance is Futile -
- I'm not a Nerd! I'm a 13th level Paladin -
- Jesus saves ..... and takes half damage -
I beleive it is absolutely horrible.
It is a waste of 20 points (not to mention one-fifth of your maximum wargear)
YEs it isn´t enoguh usefull. The only way this wargear works is that the effect can be used every turn.
... and if GW do that ... i donñt know if i use it. :glare:
If solar pulse could be used every turn I would use it in every game I played.
"oh btw, nightfighting rules apply when shooting my immortals for the rest of the game"
That's what would happen. As long as you kept your immortals out at 18-24" range there's a good chance your opponent will not ever see them. There's a good reason why the solar pulse is one shot. It's incredibly good when in experienced hands but when you use it like a retard it's not worth the points. People are so caught up in their little "orb/vod" combo they can't see the other uses of those 100 points.
