Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have a Nid army going against an Alaitic army that is designed to have 8 rolls on the disruption chart. It's a little cheesey in my opinion, but have a few questions. Does the disruption chart only affect units? In other words does it affect vehicles and Monstrous creatures? How would this affect Lictors how have secret deployment and my genestealers that infiltrate. What about Living Artillery and Biovores? I have about 85 models in my nid army. most of them have leaping. he claims he is nmot worried about my army, but I think Nids would easily over come an army that uses expensive Vypers and an obnoxius amount of small ranger squads.
So are any of my units or models safe against his disruption chart?
I cant help you on the chart questions, but I can assure you that you wont have much trouble at beating him. Lay off TMCs and stack up on gaunts, since he will have next to no guns and IMO needs to pin squads in place and shoot them over a long period to win. You cant be pinned, so should have little trouble.
Oh, and another thing: make sure everything you have on the table is in synapse range, since one of the disruption rolls involves pinning a squad IF its not fearless.
Hive Fleet Furi Kuri 32/21/4
Tomb Kings: 8/5/2
Im in ur Halo, killin ur covernantz
The problem with that is he could make my synapse creatures placed in reserve. But I forgot that most of my army is immune to pinning, especially my TMC. I feel so much better now
I can't wait to see the expressionon his face when we rolls a pinning result on a unit that is immune
I know think he is as good as dead.
I'm starting to think that deep strking my winged Tyrant and Red Terror might be a good idea since they won't start on the board, so that means no rolls on the disruption chart. Tee hee!

Hmm. I've bumped into this before since the topic applies to both Eldar and Tyranids. The moderator at the time said that as long as I have the same topic, but worded differently, that it was acceptable.
Posting the exact same post in two different forums is not.
Basically I am lookin for a different reponses from the Eldar and Tyranid communities, thus I posted similar using different wording.
Am I really causing that much dissent by asking for advice from both communities? You could lock this one, but then I could in theory ask it again and completely reword the entire thread.
This is not meant as a strike against you, so I hope you are not offended. I know how easy it is for people to take things the wrong way. Look up the moderators response to my old thread in the painting forum. I was new to the boards so he explained dual posting was illegal, but I believe he said as long as I reworded the post and place it in another section of the forum then this was ok.
I hope I didn't offened anyone. I just want a take from the Eldar and Tyranid communities.
That doesn't bother me at all.
Your army should have little to worry about so long as the units aren't able to be pinned by his sniper fire. Any big nasties you have will not last long though.
So you think my swam of leapers should do the trick? I can assualt 12" and use fleet of claw for another d6. Not to mention I have Biovores that will splat him. Do temple wepons negate cover saves?
Disruptions rolls do not affect vehichles BUT they do affect your genes because they deploy after everything has been deployed BUT he may shoot at them because the rangers are shooting on the nids before the arrive on the batllefield. (craftworld eldar codex alaitoc page on the right side if I recall correctly.) He also DOES affect biovores because it are just normal creatures and as far as I know you still need to make a pinning test even if a creature is fearless or something. Go for alot of models perhaps you should consider of using a seeding swarm army to drop your genes in his ranger forces XD. CC is there weaknes sure they screw nids hard with the disruption rolls but they are not that good vs hoarde armies. You should not take hives because they get shot down by rangers and pathfinder and it costs alot of points try to replace them with warriors. And no you should not use gaunts because if he puts your synapse creatures in reserve then your screwed imo. Ow have you also readed the eldar faqs? He should assign a target and then roll a dice on the disruption table he may not roll 8 dice at onces and pick like hmm wo should I put in reserve?
However with that statement out of the way, I would say listen to ArchonBjorn. He has a really good tendency to not say stupid things and give bad advice.Learn from yesterday.

Hope for tomorrow
if you have enough squads... you dont have to worry... a usual Alaitoc have very little men... and most of them have one shot each... unless they take guardian defender squads and gave them scatter laser, then you might be in trouble...
I play both armies. my advice would be do just that and stock up on leapers. dont worry about spineguatns. they are mainly used to absorb rapid fire shots and take casualties. here all the fire WILL be directed at your big bugs, i dont think he will be able to handle a swarm, especially if he is going for mass rolls ont he disruption chart.
