Welcome to Librarium Online!
I know there have been something about this topic, nevertheless i didn't get anything out from earlier posts. so the question is how to make both painboss and cyborks. any input is accepted.
Well mad dok grotsnick makes a perfect painboss, but as for the cyborks i have no idea. I've been thinking of this for a little bit too but nothing comes to mind.
What is dis signature nonsence?! dem stupid human zoggers are always trien to confuze us.
Actually, I started making my cyborks after I read up on some of the battle damaged space marines on the GW homepage.
I used the weapons sprues for the Obliterators (you know, those ugly guys from the Chaos Space Marine range) as well as just plain slugga and choppa arms. Cut the hands off of some of the arms and glue the blades and guns on, add some green stuff to make it look like they've got some weird bandage there, and you're basically set. The chainsword choppa looks /really/ convincing for some odd reason, but maybe that's because I've watched Army of Darkness one too many times.
Lopping legs off and using shoota barrels for peg legs also works. But so far, my favorite has got to be the swapping hands. If the 'oomies can trade body parts around like they're going out of style, why can't the orks?
"Some days you're the Mekboy building the kannon, the rest you're the grot being blown up by it."
- Quote attributed to Sorkrates, before his much mourned death due to ingestion of Hemsquig Juice.
"Dis iz my choppa, and herez me gun. Dat's for killin' and so'z dis one!"
- Bloodaxe Kommando Warchant
What about plasticard as liek metal plates on their arms and such?
I used necromunda pit fighter weapon arms (drills, chopsaws, big clippers) for one side and just regular shootas for the other arms. Glue on some metal jaws from the plastic ork sprues along with the shoulder pads and they look really good.
i took my painboss realy far on my conversions. I used a warboss for the body. First of all instead of using the shoota arm i used a fantasy boss arm from the orc boy packs. i chopped of the choppa blade part (the engine thing, the saw ect) leaving just the shaft. i then cut the hand off from the new arm of the boss. I glued the choppas saw thing on in replacment for his hand. i have a litlle cutting blade on the shaft of the choppa, too replace the chopa saw. covered him in armour ect, he lookes realy good.
maybe you could get an ork in metal armour, glue some shiny thing like tinfoil, and add some wires coming out of it. Tat would look wicked for a cybork.
What? You didn't say anything about circular saws.
