Well, ork battlewagons are the best thing in an ork army. (thats what my friends say) BUT THE PROBLEM IS THEY ARE EXTINCT AND HAVE TO BE BUILT FROM SCRATCH OR CONVERTED!!! I have no idea how to build them. Any tips or stuff like tat? PLz help me.

I dont mean to brag, but so far, everyone has agreed that my Battlewagon is kick ass.
If i had a camera i'd get some pics up, but i dont

I basically took a land raider, and lots (and lots) of spare bits stuck all over it so it looked damaged and the orks had slapped some "armour" on it. For the guns i basically got Heavy Stubbers from the Leman Russ sprues and put them on as bolt on big shootas, then converted the Zzap gun from a lascannon, by putting some fuel canisters (from the IG flamer) and some fins (from the IG hunter killer missile) and stuck them on.
The twin linked big shootas on the side are quad autocannons. I had loads left over from my IG heavy weapons sprues, so stuck 4 together twice, and stuck them where the lascannons are meant to go, following up with getting the mechanism to work so they turn (Y) .

There's also some extras, like Grots, Stikkbombs hanging off, a nailed up IG body, a Turbo Boosta (made from a Leman Russ barrel), and many more.

Hope thats given you some ideas. (Y)

A converted land raider will always look like a converted land raider - boring. If you convert it enough that it doesn't look like a land raider - then why did you bother spending so much.

Other brand plastic vehicles are comparitively cheap. I'd use a 1/35th scale half track for a battle wagon with a lot of conversion. (started doing it once but I had a lot of other stuff on my plate). I'd actually suggest getting a couple of different 1/35th scale vehicles and using parts of both. Additional bits can always be used for a wartruck or something.

I used a toy humvee I got from K Mart for 12 bucks. I stuck shootas all over it and assorted spiky things, and built a zap gun and a skorcha out of parts I had left over from boyz boxes and other crap. It already had rivets on it so it looked pretty primitive and orky.
Looks Awesome and total cost to me: 12 dollars. Its bigger than a Land Raider tho but who cares, big is orky. I'll post a pic one day but I only just got my digital camera working.

It's all about conversion, baby. I haven't got a BW of my own, but were I to make one I would consider taking a Rhino and sticking platforms on it.

I used an old rhino with some metal armour plates that a few bits missing. A friend's friend gave it to me and I added a platform at the top and a dozer blade at the front. Bits of flat plastic were used to patch up holes and to give the impression of some extra armour. Then when I painted it I put spray can like marks over the imperial signs as if the Orks inside had crossed them out.

The reason that GW have not released a kit for the Battlewagon is because ork vehicles are just that, ork vehicles, none of them look the same. So with a little imagination and good plasticard use, anyone can make a great looking BW. Mine is made from four old rhinos and lots of plasticard.
