Welcome to Librarium Online!
I know that in tournaments, all your models need to have all the upgrades you have given the units they represent, and that raises a few questions for me:
1) I have glued the ammo-belt on all of my guardians because it looks cool, but will I need to pay 2 pts extra per model for the grenades if I use them in a tournament?
2) Do I need some extra stuff for my vehicles to legally use vehicle-upgrades, such as CTM, holo-field and spirit stones? In my local gw, they have a falcon with some kind of crystal attached to represent a CTM, but it looks so damn ugly that I, no matter how great CTMs are, never ever will use it if it means that I have to glue such a piece of BS on my beautiful falcon...
Models are allowed to things represented that the unit doesn't actually have - so your Guardians with grenades are fine.
Vehicle upgrades are required to be represented. I have used Guardian back-pack antenna things to represent holo-field generators on my Falcon, and am using little blue glass gem-things for Spirit Stones.
Just get a litlle piece of tape get a litlle peblle paint it like a gem put it on the tape and attack it to your falcon. When you finished playing just get it of and paint any flat areas that are ''damaged''. If they would get damaged. It is just a easy way to sneak trough the rules if you ask me .
However with that statement out of the way, I would say listen to ArchonBjorn. He has a really good tendency to not say stupid things and give bad advice.Learn from yesterday.

I don´t need to make tempoary upgrades, I just wan´t to make the upgrades look real good. I wish I could buy a sprue of stuff to costomize vehicles with, but it seems that I need to be a little more creative than that..
Why on earth does all of the vehicle upgrades have to be external?
You can, Forgeworld sell one with every Eldar vehicle upgrade except Scythes. Damn expensive though. I like the guardian backpack antenna things for both holo-fields and CTMs, and some of the other gubbins on those sprues work well too.Originally posted by Farseer Sareld@Jan 31 2005, 20:58

As long as you explain to your opponent what each vehicle has in the way of upgrades, then there should be no problem if you say your upgrades are internal.
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
Not that it's likely to help you out at the moment, but the new Wave Serpent contains CTM and Spirit Stones.
