I donĀ“t get, just started playing the other day.. I red some topics here, and where do i find the rules about exceptional size, horms, bio titans etc.. What are they for that matter?? By tha way iĀ“m playing the Tyranids..
Welcome to LO!
Exceptional Size is a mutation which is availabler for tyranids, you find the precise rules on page 36/37 of codex tyranids.
"Horms" are Hormagaunts, one of the units which are available in the tyranid army list.
Bio Titans make a carnifex look like a gaunt would look next to a carnifex. They are really huge tyranids, but they are very very rarely used in normal games - because it's hard to get appropiate models for them, they require the opponent's permission, and the point cost is enormours, often 500+pts for a single bio titan.
You can find models of them at Forge World.
I just red a topic, where someone wrote that a horm could move 18'' - 24''. Is this possible? And where can i find rules about biotitans?
i think the rules for biotitans in 3rd edition where printed in a white dwarf but i know there is a book kicking around on how to make tyranid monster creatures.
hormies have the leaping ability that alows them to move 12" the then can FoF (fleet of foot) instead of shooting (hormies have no guns) fir an aditional 1d6" of movment then the can assault 6".
DonĀ“t you mean they can move 6'', and assault for 12''. I just thought there was a way to move 18''.... But that is kind of a long run anyway... Are there any updates to the tyranids? I have only red the codex?
6" move + 0" to 6" Fleet of Claw + 12" Assult = 18"-24" (+3" consolodation....). I'm sure thats what they were talking about.
There is no need for an update to the Tyranids Codex (unless they decide to remove the STBO rule). The Chapter Approved section of the GW website has a FAQ, however. Also, the Seeding Swarm rules can be found in Chapter Approved 2003 rulebook, but you need your opponents permission to field that type of army.
opps stupid me. unit04 is right move 6 assult 12". winged creatures are the other way around.
i think they will update the nid codex last because with some of the new armies i think we are loosing are punch. but ya STBO needs to be fixed its just slightly out of balance. oh and make lictors count for MC rules. and i think biovores should get an armor save. but no one agrees with that one.
has anyone seen the rules or have a link to them for the 60point update on the lictor i head they drop an attack and somthing els to make em cheep.
what are the STBO rule? as you can read, i'm entirely newbie, and don't get the shortenings... yet... oh, shoot the big ones.... hehe.. I got it..
