Can anyone tell me where in the codex or what other place the story that says Commander Farsights Dawn Blade is a C'tan blade? My friend swears its a C'tan blade and I can find nothing to prove that it is. In his entry in the codex it mentions nothing of a C'Tan blade and says it only ignores regular saves and not invulnerable. Thanks.
This should be in army fluff

No, it should be in rules. The dawn blade makes O'Shovah a monstrous creature, and thats it.

Im in ur Halo, killin ur covernantz
I think that your friend is mistaken. Perhaps, but unlikely, he is thinking of the Callidus Phase Sword, just mixing the two up in his mind. Definitively the Dawn Blade is an artifact from a Tau held world. Theoretically, it is some Khornite Daemon weapon, but I've never seen anything linking it to the C'tan.
Thanks Maus. I figured he was mixing it up.
It could be a C'tan weapon... though it follows other rules. It is an old Artefact from forgotten times and might have been something of a C'tan sword. All C'tan swords can't be exactly the same. It seems kinda weired though, that all Callidian assassins actually wear one. I mean... mow many did the C'tan do? Did they massproduce them in lack of other races then Eldar to kill. Where the hell do the Imperial find all their C'tan swords?
- Oh look! HEY, we've fond something here sir, come and take a look.
- It looks like some kind of wearehouse... *opens the on locked door... *
- WOW, there are so many of them, and they shine so nice.
And thats how the assassins got their C'tan blades...
:glare: I want Tau to have CC weapons, just for show-of...
Remember remember the fifth of November... Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason... Should ever be forgot...- = Always watching = -
They have never confirmed what the dawn blade is although games workshop have hinted that it may be a deamon weapon of some kind, this is due to the fact that they found it on a planet which at one point had a chaos cult on it. However there could be a whole host of diffrent reasons for this. It's so games workshop can have a plot twist for the tau at some point.
Some kind of Chaos weapon could make sense, i know Tau dont really get corrupted by Chaos but it would explain Farsights "odd" behaivour, abbandoning the greater good and all. The weopon doesnt look very chaotic though.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
I think the reason why some people think the dawn blade is a C'tan weapon is because it says in the codex that farsight found this alien artefact on a dead world and dead worlds and C'tan/necrons kind of go together.
However, I guarantee Farsight would have found anything relating to the Necrontyr if he found a C'Tan artifact. ^_^ Tau are much smarted than humans...Originally posted by crazyforcocoapuffs@Feb 8 2005, 17:28
