Exactly, the Railguns is the same type of weapon but with more firepower.
Railrifles is the more mobile but lowerpowerd cousin to the railgun. They can not be found in the codex since they arrived after the relese, rules however is to find in Chapter Approved 2004,
You should have cheecked page 2 and three, i think this has come up several times before.
Remember remember the fifth of November... Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason why gunpowder, treason... Should ever be forgot...- = Always watching = -
Also found in WD issue #284 on page 94 left hand

+10pts per model, max of 3 per squad
for +7 points you can get a target lock function at the cost of "gets hot" (as discussed previously on the forum they still may NOT use the other team members marker light hits, but may use dots from separate pathfinder teams)
It seems as the german gamesworkshop site is a bit more gamer friendly and has willingly placed the rules in the public eye at the following location
I think that the rules, or possibly a direct translation and the link above, would be a good idea for a sticky in the tau forum. This would stop the tau forum from becoming inundated with requests for this information from every newcomer.
Note: This will be the final time I ever post on rail-rifle / MBG rules on this forum, ever.
