Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well, im just starting, I bought what looked cool........ here it is...
1 box of guardians
1 far seer
4 warp spiders and an exarc
I will mainl be playing space marines and orks......... are the warp spiders good against them..?
tnks in advance
Warpspiders are good due to there high S weapons making them save alot. BUT they are hard to play with compared to most other aspects I would take striking scorpions vs marines. (I know banshees negate saves but striking scorps are still better imo).
You will need at least 2 weapon platforms for your guardian squad. Split them into 2 groups of 8 men and add a weapon platform. Then you should have a basic army. Something like:
Farseer w/fortune w/ROW w/pistol w/witchblade
Guardian defender squad 8 man with a starcannon platform.
Guardian defender squad 8 man with a brightlance platform.
Add the warlock either to your defender squad for conceal or somethng and let the farseer reroll your squads saves meaning a 5+ rerolleble save.
Try to get a WL there good for just 120 points they get a great weapon good CC capebilities and on top of that it has a unbelieveble high toughness ^^.
After that try to get at least one aspect like striking scorps or banshees for CC.
Now you should have:
1 heavy support.
This is the basic ID of my army but I play ulhtwe meaning I got 2 farseers and 3 warlocks. But these are the basics imo you got CC orientated forces 2 shooting forces and 1 CC/shooty bit fatass model.
However with that statement out of the way, I would say listen to ArchonBjorn. He has a really good tendency to not say stupid things and give bad advice.Learn from yesterday.
Live for today
Hope for tomorrow
Its a good start. Just add more aspects and guardians and you do have a quite large army.
a good start. i would suggest a falcon, to help as it's one of the best all round tanks in the game if tooled properly ( see the falcon VS prism thread)
well it really depends on what type pf game your playing like if its 40k or a 1500 point battle etc and you need to tell us some points here. i would say add some aspect warriors and tell us some more info plz
Check it out.
Its new but it will grow if people join.
Nice start for beginning an army. you will soon need additional warlocks, falcon, and additional aspect warriors. read up on the codex, and see what aspect you like. I prefer howling banshees and swooping hawks because i like a fast moving force. Many like scorpions because of the higher strength, armor, and infiltrate.
heavy support is that huge question mark for any eldar player. Dark reapers are marine can openers, wraithlord are incredible, the falcon can always move 6 inches and fire, and the support weapons can win a came themself or hold an objective by themselves.
I skipped the fire prism because i really recommend this for experienced players. tricky to use, and most people don't like its results.
