i started this post so i can ask questions as i play for the grater good. Ill post new questions as they arise.

Well this is the first question iv got. If my hammerhead tank has a railgun, SMS(smart missile system), multi tracker. dose it mean that because of the multi tracker i can move it 6" and shoot both weapons all though they are heavy. And if i move 12" i can chose one weapon to shoot at the enemy.

    well thx for the help.

the SMS is strenght 5 and counts as a defense weapon. and that means you can fire both yes. up to strenght 6 is defencive. but why SMS?? the Burst cannon is cheaper and you don't want your fancy tank  that close to the enemy.

I really, really apologize for these people and their lack of answering, so I'll do my best to answer for you.

The Multitracker, basically, means that your vehicle may move up to 12" and shoot as if you were a Fast vehicle.

The rules in the 4th Edition rulebook say that a fast vehicle that moves up to 12" may fire a single main weapon and all defensive weapons. Since the SMS is a defensive weapon, you may fire both. However, keep in mind that without a target lock, they both must be at the same target.

Here's one way you can keep your HH out of LoS (as you say) and still get use out of the secondary weapon:

That tactic is just so very fun...

And, question to Astroth: Why burst cannons? In order to use those you have to be even closer to the enemy, and the SMS will give you the opportunity to fire on people without getting touched.

hey thx allot for all the help. Now Second question for this post. is the rail gun a defence gun?

third question. with targeting array it adds 1 to ballistic skill. is that the 4 on the Hammer Head that is under () or would it be a 5?

also since i have a felling allot of n00bs will be looking though this post try not to use abbreviations like HH for hammer head and if you do try to do this HH (hammer head) so they know what you are saying.
