Ok, i've been thinking about orks alot lately and i've come down to a decision..maybe. I might go with a clan, or just go vanilla. The clans i've been thinking of are Feral orks, Snakebites, or Evil Sunz. Those or just nilla. The one thing that troubles me about the feral and snakebites are the amount of Squiggoths in an army. Like how many should you have for each size? for example if you have the really big squiggoth, is one enough? or if you take some smaller ones, should have a minimum of 3 or?
Any ideas on which i should go, or any info about these things that i mentioned that would help my decision would be helpful, thnks

For one thing its not "nilla" orks it's "freebooters".....just so you know. All the feral ork players i have seen only play with ether 1 massive squiggoth or 1 massive and 1 small (the massive being the Father or big brother to the smaller). Haveing 3 seems like your overdueing it and you could use those points elsewhere. As you can see from other threads here picking a clan is all about your personality and what you like. One isn't better then another so we can't tell you what to pick. For me i hate feral orks and played speed freak (didn't like them too much) so i would go for snakebites. I'm sure if anyone posts they will have a different opinion.

You should start with a Freebooters army ("vanilla") to get yourself familiar with Orks. (Damn I should restart playing with my abandonned Ork army...) Anyways, Evil Sunz can be very fun to play but you need muchos trukks and bikes but it's a fast army and pretty fun...it's up to you

whats the main difference between a snakebites army and feral orks? Like what can the snakebites take that feral cant, or what can feral take that snakebites cant?
There are 6 Clans, which are like standard ork armies, but make some changes to what or how much of each unit you can choose.
Snake Bites (half-way feral orks)
Evil Suns (half-way speed freaks)
And there are two other additional ork types.
These two types totally change the ork structure and are basically two totally different armies than normal orks. Snake bites have some qualities of feral orks, and can take some of their units, but are not fully as extreme as feral orks. Feral Orks emphasize on more barbaric tactics, and some weird beasts. Evil Suns have some of the qualities of Speed Freaks, mostly the love of speed, not much else. Speed Freaks are entirely fast attack basically, and are very extreme in this way.
It may be good to be a normal ork army (most versatility), one of the clans (some more speciality) or one of these different ork armies (extreme specializing). I will tell you however, many of the more competant ork armies in tournaments or in battle reports tend to be Speed Freeks due to their unexpected tactics, but that may be coincidence. They are also harder to pull off as they require slightly more difficult tactics than more basic foot slogger armies.

I've decided to go with Feral Orks, so one last question. Would 1 massive squiggoth be enough, and are Wildboyz a good unit to have?
