Hey, Ive been layin necrons for about 2 months now and his has ben a re-accuring problem of mine. Whenever I try to snap those little green gauss rods out of their sprue, i am always lef with a little white piece of plastic where ive bent it out Not only thatbut when i exacto-knife it out i still get the large white mark where ive cut it. I ried living with it by fixing the rod in so that the white is facing the bottom of the rod, but it turns out that they are see through :hmm:
Suggestions anyone^
Power corrupts... Absolute Power is kinda neat though...
I had this problem too but I wasn't too concern I just assembled them and speed painted them because I just wanted to play. However if you puting the extra effort into them I would say that your best bet is to use some sort of clippers to remove the rod. I believe GW sells them (not that you have to buy theirs). Hope this helps.
Never ever 'twist' out pieces from any sprue. Clip them out instead.
If the spot still annoys you, file it. It will flatten the mark out so it won't be as noticable as a single white spot.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

I use surgical scalpels to get my pieces out. They work wonderfully on the rods and leave barelly a mark at all. When glued so that th emark is behind the rod on the gun, you can not see it is there. A surgical scalpel can be purchased at any decent dollar store. Well in Canada anyways.
