Welcome to Librarium Online!
If Space Marines had a model range as useful and varied as the Orks:
-They would have 2 commander models, one armed with a heavy bolter, the other armed with a missile launcher.
-They would not have models for Chaplains, Librarians and Terminator Command Squads.
-The Veterans Squad box set would simply be a Combat squad box with a few metal versions of the shoulder pads.
-The dreadnought model would only come with the assault cannon arm and the powerfist arm.
-There would be no models for the techmarines or servitors.
-The tactical squad box set would not come with heavy or special weapons and would have no sergeant bundled with it. You could buy heavy weapons in blisters but they would be static, single pose models. You could also buy sergeants seperately in blisters, but they would only come with a bolt pistol and chainsword - no power fist.
-There would be no models for the scouts.
-You could only buy a Razorback for transport, but the model would be 7 years old and would only come with heavy bolters. You would not get an accesory sprue with it.
-The land speeder model would be 7 years old and only have a heavy bolter option. Ther would be no models for the Land speeder typhoons or Tornado's.
-The bike models would be 12 years old and would be static, single pose models. The actual drivers would be about half the size of average Space Marine. There would be no models for attack bikes, scout bikes or any weapon options.
- The devastator squad models would be single-pose static models.
- There would be no models for the Vindicator, Predators, Whirlwinds or Land Raiders.
Live with it.

deal with it.
I'm not complaining - I love converting vehicles but I just thought it was an interesting comparison.
Very true indeed, personally the great lack of a lot of models in the ork codex is what appeals to me so much, I'm all into converting and the thought of having an army like ors is simply mindblowing.I'm not complaining - I love converting vehicles but I just thought it was an interesting comparison.
Yet it remains to be seen what will happen when the new ork codex arrives, hopefully next year.
Didn't I just read this?
