I use the shadow grey/chaos black combo on my FWs, and they look pretty sick.

I've got the sweetest combination for my firewarriors. But I will not say anymore, as its still a work in progress (the battlesuit colour scheme has got me stumpped).

Painting firewarriors is easy. If you undercoat black, it looks really good if you purposely leave the deep lines (like on the shoulder pad) black, and use your base coat on the other areas. Gives ALOT more definition.

Hey! Me too. In fact - I think it's so good a colour scheme, that it should be the official one. Cuz, come on! Orange and brown? Beige? It's not as cool as it could be.

I paint the armour plating (or whatever) catachan green, and the fatigues with a catachan green/dark angels green/goblin green/graveyard earth camo pattern.

I thought mine was somewhat origonal untill i looked at the scemes in the codex, i too have shadow grey and chaos black but i throw in some white and bolt gun. From what ive seen (no offence to anyone) but 2 colors is not enough to make it look good.

I just painted them the Normal "official" colors of the Eavy metal team. I mean come on, why make them complicated when you can paint 12 in 2 hours? I did that! (being the crazy person that i am)......

I painted mine fortress grey, with with black cloth(dry brush Bleach bone) and each squad's "shoulder path" not the shield, is colored to either blue green red or yellow. The commanders have skull white helmets and the bottom stripe of the shield, the top stripe of the shield is painted thier squad color. It looks pretty good, and the bases are medium sized rock with snow cover. I consider my Tau the Mountain rescue Battalion. IMO White Tau with any Red to acsent is a very good scheme
