I also have $60 to spend on additional units. I'm leaning towards stealth suits, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Really, for Marine killing, I do recomend just getting Crisis with Plasma. It's the best way. Failing that, you could get pathfinders with Rail Rifles and markerlighted seeker missles. Failing that, you could make both HH Ion cannons, since you do have the Broadsides, but that's a little risky. I tend to think Plasma on Broadsides are pretty useless, they're completely useless if you don't have multitrackers for the Broadsides.
My first suggestion is that the mods move this to the armylist forum, and that you start posting armylists there from now on. Also, when you do post there, try to give a list of the equipment you have on your units, because you're either not listing a lot of equipment, or more likely you're off on your points calculations, because when I plug in exactly what you list, I'm coming up 300 points less than 1600.
Now, for my other suggestions: You're shas'os have three hardwired slots they can have, use some of them. Get multi-trackers on those boys. You do seem to be overdoing it on protection for your Shas'o's as well, but eh preferrences.
Now, your army list will have a hard time taking on anything with a 2+ save, and crisis suits could help with this and also the 3+ save armies as well. I would suggest holding off on the stealth suits and plan on getting crisis suits. For $60 you could get 3 crisis suits, or if you can wait, hold off until you get $90 and buy an army box, that'll give you some more firewarriors and some kroot. Thats not to say don't get stealth suits, by all means at some point get a least a full team of six, thats another $30, but right now, you dont particularly need more of the basic weaponary, you need armor piercing.

He was obviously indirectly asking is a list viable without Crisis teams, and suggesting how he might cope without Crisis teams. I don't think is viable, but that's neither here nor there. I think it's just fine that he posted here.
Without crisis teams, you're going to have to rely on broadsides for TMC's and IG tanks etc, and you should go AP2 heavy on your Shas'o's.
It's expensive, but i'm thinking 2 Shas'o's with twin-linked plasma, missile pod, and hwmulti. 246p.
Then add a unit of 6 stealthsuits, these guys can take out SV3+ just due to volume of shots. 6 = 180p
2*FW in DF = 400
+1*FW = 120
7 Gun Drones=84p
This army has 3 AP1, 2-4 AP2 shots, and 3 AP3 shots. You'll get by, but why don't you just use Crisis suits? Plasma's are great.
No reason to TL on a Shas'O. They hit often enough already. Do you really wann pay a 50% increase to prevent him form missing on a 1?
No, really, it's a bad buy. Statistically, if you get 6 shots off in a game, you will only miss (at all) in 66% of games. Now, as you said with rapid fire, hopefully you get to fire more, and of course you have more than one weapon to fire, but still, it's just not worth it in end. Remember, some turns you may not get to fire at all.
