Well thats interesting, a definitive date. And thats a lot of stuff for £150. Only one thing though, any person new to the hobby is going to suffer serious painting fatigue very quickly if they buy it. Thats 56 models they are going to have undercoated sitting in front of them...quite intimidating.
Anyway, I'll stop with the pessimism, sounds good, looks good, all is good.
Heh, no mention of this in the US store site. Guess this is the trade-off for the US getting Space Marines first. My brother's been looking at 'nids. That's about $280 US though. That's pricey @_@
The ravener looks almost identical to the one we have now. Though it is only a two inch tall picture.
Hive Fleet Furi Kuri 32/21/4
Tomb Kings: 8/5/2
Im in ur Halo, killin ur covernantz
Seems expensive to me. Here's how it adds up if GW continues with the same usual prices (in Canadian dollars btw):
Box deal = $341
6 warriors - $80
16 gaunts - $40
16 gaunts - $40
4 rippers - free
8 genestealers - about $20
3 raveners - $45
1 zoanthrope - $15
1 tyrant - $50
lictor - $15
codex - $20
That means you save $16 dollars. Not worth it if you have enough genestealers or gaunts or whatever. The set is good for beginners, but not so much for those who already have some models and are in no need of getting that many. For me I'll just get the new tyrant, new thrope, new codex, and new lictor costing me only $100.
You call those cheap implants boobs?
They aren't boobs, they're lies!
the ravener looks pretty similar except for what looks like a warrior head and a default 2 scything talons.
it doesn't seem as good value as the battleforce though, where basically you got a gaunt box free, thats £15 saved from a £50 box.
here assuming similar prices to now (and let me try in £'s)
warriors 2x £18 (troop boxes will be £18 at start of april)
gaunts 2x £18
again ignore rippers
8 genestealers (come in boxes of 8 now right?) £12 (unless GW want to hike that up too)
3 ravenors 3x £7
mine comes up to £154... nice work GW.
True, but that shouldn't surpirse us anymore.
Still getting the stuff earlier and the limited edition model still make it better than getting everything seperate, and for those of us who still have to few gaunts ( only 3 broods of 16 ) it's a good thing ( with the exception of painting so many models )
US date is later, 20.5., but the price is going to be only 225$US according to current predictions.
