This forum seems somewhat dead... But I thought I'd fish here for some helpful info...
I'm getting into WH40k, and am starting a Necron army... Just wanted to know if anyone had some helpful insight.
Also, if you have a 1000 point limit... is the Monolith something you'd include in that point total...or leave it out in favor of more troops on the field?
The Necrons is an excellent starter army because of their easy paint jobs and they excel greatly in firepower!!! I would include plenty of destroyers and since Necrons aren't that great in hand to hand, I would include a squad of Wratihs, Flyed ones, or Pariahs. Give the Lord a Veil of Darkness, this way he can bounce around with a squad and perform
"cheap shots" at the enemy.
I play Necrons, i currently have 3000+
in a 1k game its not worth feilding the Monilth
i know a lot of people who started space marines first. i myself started spac maeines first but a after a couple of battles i got bored as they do not have any good weapons and they are rubish and close combat
