Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey, i got a few friends who i played against recently and when i beat them they proceeded to whine about how cheesy necrons are and how cheesy the deceiver is and i was wondering if anyone had any good points to bring up to show them that the necrons aren't cheesy? (by the way the army i was using was 24 warriors, 6 destroyers, 2 wraiths, 6 scarab bases, 1 lord, and 1 deceiver.(i don't see anything cheesy at all))
Right is right, and left is wrong.
Cheese is the cry of an inadequate commander. There's no such thing as cheese, there's only being able to counter your opponent's list or not being able to an losing. The only way you're gonna get the guy to stop crying cheese is to alter your list so that he can walk all over you without a lot of effort. Stick to your guns, if you're army list works, use it. It's his job as a player to figure out the way to counter your list. No army is unbeatable. That's just the way I feel about it. If it really bothers you though try dropping the Deciever.
I completely agree with Edicius, frankly I dont think you should let it bother you. If it does and you want to change it, the i suggest the fastest and easiest way to make them stop would be to drop the c'tan
"I am the architect of fate!"
Thanks, i'll make sure to tell them that!
Right is right, and left is wrong.
This sounds like some of my friends. Basically your best bet is to do what the people above said, and you can use this against them:
"THE GAME WAS MADE BY A COMPANY OF PEOPLE WHO MAKE GAMES FOR A LIVING!!!! IT'S NOT LIKE THEY HAVEN"T THOUGHT THIS OUT!!!! IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE NECRONS, THEN I'M SURPRISED YOU EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!"
...and so on and so forth...
Anything that has been said above must be immediately
disregarded, as the high level of stupidity contained in every
word may cause you to drool on your computer thus causing
your own demise...
you know water+electricity= dead...-ness.
Tell your 'friends' to come back when they've grown a pair.
Seriously, if they can't gun down 2 wraiths and a lone Deciever they need to think long and hard about what kind of junk they're putting in their army.

And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
I agree with you guys but at least admit that 3 wraithlords in 500 points is a crime against god.
It is, but I that Necron list isn't.Originally Posted by Winters
Maybe my view is warped as an eldar player (all our high AP and power weapons), but I always thought that Necrons were at (if anything) a disadvantage. It's just so hard for them to get heavy weapons.
What races do your friends play? Are they new to WH4K?
That might have something to do with it.
You have just recieved the Amish Computer Virus. Since the Amish don't have computers, it is based on the honor system. So please delete all the files from your computer. Thank you for you cooperation.

'crons rnt cheesy, they're just cool.
it's just cos they're made of metal, and r several million yrs old that ppl dont like them.
they're not evil, they're just misunderstood ;-)
kl list btw, how many pts?
I'm not one to whine myself, but me and my other friends (they don't even play orks) all agree that necron are way too strong when considering they can always have their WBB roll. I think they would be completely balanced if the lord could not have the orb. Also against shooty armies like tau and guard, teleporting right in to their lines means they have no chance either.
No one I have spoken too intelligently about warhammer have agreed that orks have no way of dealing with necron what-so-ever. This may be (certainly) that the orks at the most distinct disadvantage out of all races in warhammer 40k right now (desperately need their new codex) or that necron are too strong, maybe a bit both, who knows...
I know some people on forums say oh just take out their warriors, then they phase out its a piece of cake, but I personally know that necron warriors for 18 points and basically a constant 4+ invulnerable save on top of thier 3+ are nigh impossible to kill for orks. Also monoliths that orks can't statistically destroy and that throw pie plates at sloogers and destroy them. Also most smart necron platesr make sure even if all of their warriors are killed they wont phase out, so they have lot of destroyers / heavy destroyers that are even harder to kill and annihilate anything orks can throw at them.
Im just sorry, don't flame me for whining because I am not, Im just bringing this to the table that orks have no chance whatsoever against crons.
