If the vehicle doesn't move, then you automatically hit it, with no 'to hit' rolls. Does that mean all the hits are considered to be 'rending' because you automatically hit? And of course you get to add another d6 to penetrate?
Scenario as I encountered it: My Lictor assaulted an unmoved tank, side armor 12. I auto-hit because it didn't move, so essentially got four successful rending attacks. This just seemed a bit unfair on my side, so I'd thought I'd ask.
I always played that you roll anyway and any 6's you got were rending and all the rest auto-hit.
Never thought of this one before.
I'd just roll the dice anyway, and see if you get any rending hits.
Nope. Against vehicles you get the additional die when you roll a 6 on the armour penetration roll, not the to-hit roll.
