Welcome to Librarium Online!
The multimelta can't be used anymore, but what should I se it as a scorcha or something else? Cant remembe, just wanted to be sure - I believe it is twinlinked.
Yeah, it looks mostly like a scorcha. But i guess some people use it as a Big Shoota too.
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
It really depends on how you'd want to explain it. I'm not sure how you could pass off the multi-melta as a big shoota, but I read an interesting idea for using it as a skorcha or a rokkit launcha. Lemme see if I can remember the gist of it...
Orkz are not exactly ones to keep up with their tools. Any weapon in the hand of an ork, providing their simple beleif that the darn thing will keep working, will more then likely break down. Meltas, by the time they're looted, are normally battle-damaged to start with. Instead of focusing their heat into a simple wave, all of the energy is either unleashed upon a small area (skorcha), or the darned thing fires a crackling bolt of pure heat that dissipates once it hits a target (rokkit).
Anyway, that's one possible suggestion. Just don't switch between weapons during the game!
"Some days you're the Mekboy building the kannon, the rest you're the grot being blown up by it."
- Quote attributed to Sorkrates, before his much mourned death due to ingestion of Hemsquig Juice.
"Dis iz my choppa, and herez me gun. Dat's for killin' and so'z dis one!"
- Bloodaxe Kommando Warchant
I always call it a kustom mega-blasta. Reasons: Orks already have models for a Skorcha and a Big shoota, and they look nothing like it. And it's definitely not a RL. Otherwise, I suppose you could call it a Skorcha (it has what look like fuel tanks).
Catapultam habeo. Nisi omniam pecuniam mihi dabis, saxum immanem ad capitem tuum mittam.
I always thought the megablasta was the cheap copout for not letting orks having multi-meltas in third edition. They do close to the same thing as the 2nd edition multimelta (which was totally rock awesome). That's what I would say that is on the top of that buggy
