    I'm not suggesting that it should be done, but do you think that changing disruption fields to act EXACTLY like guass would be too unbalancing?

    IE Necrons would automatically galnce on a CC AP roll of 6 AND wound automatically on a 6 regardless of str/t ratios.

    isn't that just about what the disruption field does? i don't have the codex here and i don't really remember. im probably wrong i guess

    It's not that way with hitting, but since in CC everything hits on a six regardless, it doesn't matter. I love disruption fields on Scarabs, as it makes them absolutely brutal against vehicles. If you have ever used a vehicle against at least four swarm bases with DF, you know what I'm talking about.

    it DOES matter Since Gauss weapons WOUND on a 6 reagardless of toughness......

    I'm asking if Disruption Fields should do the same.

    All cheer for title-tapping master Blackhat! Our humble topic getting a post from him is like a beggar in England getting a personal handout from the Queen. Or wherever. Anyway, DF are pretty nuts on scarabs, and that's why they cost +3 points per model, as opposed to the +1 for warriors.
