Welcome to Librarium Online!
I am going to buy a barbed hierodule. I know it will be hard for it to earn its points back but those stats just make me drool! The other thing i am worried about is that i constantly play against an eldar army fielding a Mind War equipped Farseer. Any tips or feedback? thanks guys!
Does anyone else even have one?
I have both the scythed and barbed, their very good if you use them properly.
The barbed has the advantage that it can start causing damage on the first turn thanks to it's biocannons while it can still take a considerable beating before it dies, it can shoot but it isn't a weeny in cc either.
The model itself is also more than enough reason to field it.
That said it is als the more expensive one of the 2.
the scythed is definetly a cc nightmare, Str 4 troops can't even hurt it, the bio-acid spray also comes in handy often and only those equipped with weapon like PF,TH or CF will hurt it although the hierodule get's the chance to strike first.
Overall both of them are very good models and their rules are nice, the gretest beneft of them is that they are not classed as war-engines and of such dn't require you to play a 2500pts game or more.
Hope this helps
BTW I also have a Hierophant
Do you know how mind war affects the hierodule? losing it to a 15 pt ability would really bite!
well mindwar removes the difference in wounds between the two people's scores. as a heirodule has to lose its mass points first i guess it can't lose any wounds from mind war till all its mass points are gone. then i suppose it'll lose wounds like anything else.
indeed, something like mindwar or a forceweapon has no effect on it
Is that a fact or speculation Dreacheon? Thatd be sweet!
I'm pretty sure it says in the rules for mass points that they have to be removed before you can take wounds... I haven't seen the rules for hierodules, but from this conversation I'm asuming they have mass points.
Yes both hierodules, Harridan and Hierophant have mass points.
I know about the Harridan, but what are the stats/rules for Hierophants and Hierodules? And what do they look like? Just curious...
