How do you make it so you can swap out carnifex arms. With the tau suits they have little slits you can put magnetic mounts in but how would you do this with a carnifex? My friend suggested drilling small holes in both the arms and socket and then glueing a nail into the arm, has any one tried this?
hmm i do not believe it is possible, as those bioweapons care pretty large...
IMO not really doable...
well wait for the new fex's? possibly gives us some chances.
I'm sure Uzi will explain this in more detail, but try using rare earth magnets.
Someone told me that if you glue the two pieces of the gun together, you can just pop on and off each gun. I don't know what you would do for ST though, if you wanted to use them.
<-- that room over there in my avatar is full of people who think you are funny...BURN...

Rare earth magnets can come in very small sizes, so mounting them on both the body and the weapons should be no problem... Though You'll need to make some accomodations for the magnets, no matter how small they are. Try asking around Your local hobby and hardware stores for them. There are also some online stores selling them, but I unfortunately do not have any links besides this German store. I have seen a US-based online store selling similar, so look around!
Alternatively, if You can't find magnets small/strong enough, consider the effort of making a weapon "module"... This requires extensive conversion of the torso/abdomen area.
Basically, You build a "sleeve" from putty which has the larger magnets, guns, remodeled carapace and any additional structural supports and details, and hack up the torso so that the sleeve fits and stays in place.
This can be a rather brutal and unsightly method if not meticulously planned and executed, so I'd probably try to find those magnets... ^_^;;;;;;
