Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi, I am starting an ork army for my son and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good manufacturers of "real life" trucks and cars for converting for the feral horde? I am mostly concerned with them being the same scale (so the little green guys can drive them)...
Well, any good other models can work if they are 1/35 scale generally.
These sites have a few, but make sure they are 1/35:
A few particularly good 'Orcy' ones after conversion might be:
Of course they would all need a lot of work, and possibly some red paint jobs.
Yeah like said above, ebay can work wonders. confrontation models are good to use just for the figs, they dont have vehicles. Or you can find some older 40k models everyone seems to have them and want to get rid of them.
also comapnies such as Dragon, Italeri and tamiya make good 1/35th scale tanks which are perfect for converting for orks.
The models aren't that expensive themselves and you laways get a lot of special extar bits for the bitbox ( especially the case with dragon )
Well I'm always looking for more stuff to add to my orks lol. I have a few really nice pieces that I got from some of the thrift stores and what not around here. Go to your local gaming facility and see if anyones in need of money, that will get ya some good deals.
