One of the special rules for all C'tan is drain life: if they reduce a model to 0 wounds, it cannot come back to life. It mentions a load of wargear which can make that happen, but does it stop special rules like Commisar Yarrick's Iron Will, or the Old One Eye Carnifex's Regeneration?
Not to sure about that one, but as it does not mention anything about special rules, then drai life does not affect them. (fluff wise though - nothing will save you from a C'tan's drain life)
i would think that it does though OOE is obsolete now since the new dex is out (or soon to be). ITs just giving a list of wargear not ONLY this wargear is effected.
OOE is obsolete, however you can now upgade all carnifexes to have regeneration on a 6+, or so i've heard. and yes it specifically states that life drain ignores regeneration.
Yes, regeneration is toast. The short form of Drain Life: "When I hit you, you stay DOWN!!!".
So yeah. Comm. Yarrick's Iron will, Chaos Marine Bionics, and that one winged lady in the Witch Hunter codex. If a C'tan knocks you down...you don't come back (Bionics don't help when a god turns your bones into jell-o...nor does sheer will do any good when you've been torn in half and had your soul sucked out as a chaser...)
Wake. Rise. Destroy. Conquer.
We have done so once. We will do so again.
i thi8nk it's copmmissar Yarrick.
iron will; when he is reduced to 0 wounds, at some point he rolls a D6.1-3 he stays dead. 4-6 he gets back up. like the necrons except better.
this may be the old codex, please say if you have the most recent codex, and it has no iron will for commisar yarrick (or someone like that).Originally Posted by ShadowZora13
iron will is a lot simpler than WBB: 1-3 he dies, 4-6 he gets up. no messing about with dbl strength, instakill, no armour saves etc.
