My regular gaming partner uses the old Catachans Codex to play against my DE Kabal, we're pretty evenly matched as we've been playing for about 8 years now. He's caught onto the downfall of my WWP, I can't deploy if any model end up within 1" of an opponents model. If i left poorly defended he'll surround it disabling it... not good.... anyway i've gone off on a tanjent *L* I'm gonna model up something to represent the WWP so we can clear define the "entry point" of the artifact.
What do you guys use to represent the portal? Any suggestions as to what to use? Maybe a sort of SG1 style StarGate design might work.
any help would be grand guys.
I use a swirl type design that I printed on sticker paper and affixed to a piece of plasticard that I cut from a template using the small blast marker.
I could dig out my old box sets i had, I think i still have the 2nd Ed (thinking back a bit) Dark Millenium box set that had the markers for "The Gate" psykers ability  ahhh the old days *L* Failing that, plasticard sounds the way to go.
Any other ideas? Maybe this should have gone to the scenery area. DOH
Is your painting ability good? Heck just take a spare blast marker, or steal a couple from your friends and paint your own design on them. My son keeps leaving his behind so I can't afford to buy a couple to paint myself as I have to constantly replace his (actually mine since when he looses his he snatches mine, but anyways).
Thanks for the advice, I do have 1 spare small blast marker, my painting ability, IMO is ok, been painting for about 8 years now, but my scenery making is horrid *L* I usualy throw money at GW or hobby shops to pick up decent looking items, but I want to start building my own now, improve my modelling skills at the same time so i can diversify my modell collection to something other than the GW supplied lot.
