I keep up to date on what Forge World is releasing, and some of these new models look freaking sweet. Even beyond that I like the battlesuits in general, and I was wondering, since I haven't read the codex, what's the max number of Battlesuits avaiable to the army (of any kind), because that might be a deciding factor whether or not I start playing tau.
And for those who haven't seen him: Shas'o R'myr and his cool looking shield.
There are three "official" GW battlesuits.
The XV-15 "stealth suit", the XV-8 "Crisis Suit", and the XV-88 "Broadside Suit".
Forge World has created the XV-81, XV-81, and the XV-89 which yet to have released rules and callsigns. Forge also just released Shas'o R'Myr's Battlesuit which has a ruleset but no callsign due to it being a one of a kind suit.
Record as of 26 December for my Static Tau Cadre.
10 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw.
Last game: Victory over Necron in a 600 point "kill em all" that lasted til turn 10 ending with a phase out.
It was mainly the 'Crisis' and 'Broadsides' I was talking about, thanks for the info, I imagine the points cost would be high but I think it'd be a fun army (maybe not quite that many, but a lot). I'll probally pick up the codex and play with the idea some more.
