Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm starting eldar and i want to have a very cheesy eldar army because i'm boored of my friend who always said his space marine killing everything. It should be a 1000 pts and i think using 2 wraith lord and 1 falcon as heavy support. Any tips?
Ha ha, I think this is the first time I've seen someone ask for advice on how to make a cheesy army!
Don't use any guardians would be my advice, along with your two wraithlords and the Falcon, a bunch of elite aspects supported by ranger sniper rifles sounds a little cheesy to me! For true cheese you must remember to not only use lots of your strong troops but ignore your weaker fluff troops. Out with the guardians!
No Comment i don't like when people try to make particulary cheese armies
War Walkers with 2 starcannons each in squads of three should do the trick.
Just watch the marines tremble as they face the firepower of numerous starcannons
for troops, 5 man guardian squads with starcannons or brightlances, depending on how many tanks the SM have.
HQ, use a farseer with guide and place him next to the war walkers, rerolling any misses for 18 starcannon shots is bound to reap results.
Only a few prefer liberty - the majority seek nothing more than fair masters
So you know, I don't care about chese or not, but I believe that it would be better to know what this SM player is pulling. There are lots of space marine styles, and I would appreciate knowing what kind of army to reccomend. There is not much I havn't played against, and I know most armies pretty well.
Where's your Baritone Saxophone?
If I had to build a cheese army it would have ...
two wraithlords, with either with bright lances or starcannons, prefferably bright lances
full squad of Dark Reapers, no exarch
Farseer with guide
two War Walkers, both with double starcannons
small guardian sqauds with star cannon platforms
This list will make any marine player crap their pants. I really can't get any cheesier. Just remember that complaining and nagging follow the cheesy path. But nothing makes me angrier than a ****y marine player! So go kick his head in!
In a 1000 pts i think he should using
two devastator squad
2 small troop of 5 with a lascannon
a whirlwind or pred
maybe some bike or termi.
I really want to show him that space marine can be beat very easy. For more fun game, i use my ork
I played a veteran Eldar gamer who had a list like this:
More Striking Scorpions
5 Guardian squads with Star Cannons
2 Wraithlords with flamers and Star cannons
I got hit with 21 Starcannon shots every turn. I charged hit seer council with 8 Lightning claw Termies with furious charge.
I basically got my @$$ handed to me on a platter with special sauce. Star cannons eat Space Marines like you wouldn't believe, and at 40 pts, they are a bargain.
I think using:
Farsee w/ guide
8 guardian w/ Starcannon
8 guardian w/starcannon
2 Vyper each w/ starcannon
2 wrath lord w/ starcannon
1 Tank with the prism weapon
Around 1000 pts
I don't usually advocate the outright tooling up of a cheesey army, but in this case, I can sympathize with your desire to obliterate Space Marines. 2 Wraithlords and a Falcon with Starcannon is a good start; put another Starcannon on one of your WL's, and put either a Brightlance or an Eldar Missile Launcher on your other one.
Next, focus on more Starcannons (but no Guardian Squads!). Put them on Vypers, with or without CTM's. If I were you, I'd go with Biel-Tan rules, because Aspect warriors are the way to go when fighting Marines. For HQ, you could go with either the Avatar or Farseer. Mindwar Farseers are great against Marines. For your main troops, include lots of Banshees and Striking Scorpions. Maybe some Dark Reapers, but I find them too expensive and too fragile.
If your final list has a Mindwar Farseer (either joining a squad or with some Warlocks - don't leave him alone), one squad each of 8-10 Banshees and 8-10 Scorpions (w/ or w/o Waveserpents, if you can fit them in) and round it out with your 2 WL's, a Falcon, and one or two Starcannon-toting Vypers, you're good. And you know, this is a cheesey list without looking obviously cheesey. It will be a Marine-killer list, for sure.
