Can someone with a force weapon instant kill a carniflex which doesnt allow to be instant killed
How did you get the impression that carnifices cannot be instakilled?
There is no weapon strong enough to instakill them by strength (S12 would be required), but that does not mean that they are immune to other causes of instant kill.
PS: It's "carnifex", not "carniflex"
If you're referring to the new codex in which things in synapse range cannot be instakilled...in that case take a look at the precise rules, If they say something along the lines of "cannot be instant killed by weapons of a strength equal or more than twice their toughness", then force weapons still work as normal. If they say "cannot be killed instantly", then force weapons no longer work...quite straightforward, isn't it?

In a simpler and kinder way to answer, Yes the carnifex can be instantly killed by force weapons.
Well, there is a good reason why i always ask people how they got a certain impression of what the rules might be: It helps to teach them not only what the rules are, but also why they are the way they are. This way they can learn to answer most of these questions for themselves. In a simpler and kinder way to answer, Yes the carnifex can be instantly killed by force weapons.
hm... the new rules state that everyone inside synapse range cannot be insta killed... so would a fex that're inside synapse range still be insta killed by force weapons?
zhaf, read above, is this an oversight of gamesworkshop i ask.
'Instantly killed' (double toughness) and 'killed outright' (force weapons) are two completely different things. According to the new rules Carnifexes cannot be instantly killed (weapons double their toughness; no such thing anymore), but force weapons will work just fine.
Yeah, remember. The Carnifex is T 6 and the strongest weapon is Str.10. Theres no easy way to kill a Carnifex or Hive Tyrant......or is there? If you play an Imperial army or Tau (or some other armies with lots of Str. 8+ weapons) can kill them easily. Heard of Broadsides? Very annoying. A tau force can have 9 in only 1 army! They all have Railguns - Str.10, AP 1, Ramge 72"! 9 of them (and yes, they're twin linked!) will get 7 hits with re-roles. 7 hits on our Carnifex and Hive Tyrant. They each have 4 wounds. With these 7 hits, thats about 4 - 6 wounds (they'res never all of them above 2 for the 2+roll). Those 4 - 6 wounds will kill the Carnifex and severely damage the Hive Tyrant. I suggest you try and kill the Hive Tyrant first, however. It's faster. Unless the Carnifex is tooled for shooting.
But, if you play an Imperial army, you've got much more of a chance. I don't know how many, but I know that you guys can have about 15 lascannons? Maybe more. Thats alot of pain. 4+ hit, thats a 50% chance. 7 hits, like the railguns. It's basically the same, but if you have more lascannons, more pain. If you do get into close combat with the big guys, your done for. The Hive Tyrant is WS 6 I 5, so its fast and deadly (lol), the Carnifex is Str. 10!!! They're both good at close combat and I think they can allocate their attacks to specific models, so Power Weapons are useless (they WILL wound at least 1 guy). Sorry if I'm showing off my army's skills, but it's true.
I played my tau friend. 1 Hive Tyrant deepstriked, wiped out the entire army (mostly entire army), before the gaunts came and finished them off. Yeah, of course the tau are no good at close combat, but its the same with every other army. If we get into close combat, run for a new outpost! If you want to wound the Carnifex in close combat, you could either get an entire platoon (50 guardsmen) on the 1 Carnifex, surround him and fource him to fall back, or get your heroes there and pray to the emperor (or greater good, avatar (do the eldar pray to the avatar?) necron gods etc.).
Another idea is to leave them out of the game. Wipe out the little guys and wait until there's only a few big guys left. You'll see that they stand out alot and are too far away to do anything (it happened to me). My tau friend chose to kill all my little guys and warriors. All I had left was my Hive Tyrant, Carnifex, Biovores and Lictors. The lictors got thrashed by the pulse rifles, the biovores got scared and ran off the board (little buggers), the Carnifex got railed by the railguns (only 3, he took 2 hammerheads with ordanance-markered railguns!!!) and the hive tyrant got wounded in combat and rapid-fired against by the firewarriors (thats roughly 50 of them)
I have just mumbled off so I'll let you decide what to do.
