Okay ive been looking at some web sites including the GW website and it shows that you can put these things called rail rifles on your pathfinder teams.
Weapon Stats Removed
Ive even seen places to order them online (they look really cool with them, better then the box-gun) Anyway is this true? can we in fact take rail rifles on our pathfinder teams?

Power corrupts... Absolute Power is kinda neat though...
Yes everything you just said is true.
Yes. They can be quite useful, but they do change the role of a pathfinder team a fair amount. I've used rail rifles both with and without target lock, and I think target lock is a waste of points. I also don't use the rail rifles anymore because I found they were stuck inside the devilfish for too long.
I have two, though I'm not too hot on the stats for them and they came with the 1500 point army I've just bought.....for £60 I might add XD!!!
But I hear they are ok, though I think i prefer the Carbines, as they do cause pinning IIRC.
The rail rifles also cause pinning and if you want a discussion on their uses and how good they are, use the search! This topic comes up about ever other week.
Then people can get them from there then can't they =^.~=Originally Posted by MiketehFox
Alright, I'll do a bit more based on my experiance!
Pathfinders with Rail Rifles are harder to use properly, you want to use the Markerlights, but also I find that when Pathfinders have RR (Rail Rifles) they tend to get shot more, so you could put them in cover, but this could reduce the effectiveness of the RR and/or the Markerlights. You have to have a rol figured out for them right from the point you know what your facing, in an army with lots of troops I find its better to use Markerlights with weapons that get more shots, but if your facing a heavy infantry army, like SMs and Necrons, you'll do better with the RR as they ingonre thier Sv and could pin. Thats based on my experiance so some other peple may use them differently, but thats how I do it.
