Would 2 broadsides in a 1000 point army be unnecessary?
I never play with broadsides at all... check Tonka's Mech Tau Tactics why
Which army are you playing against (mainly)... cause I always seem to be playing against SMurfs and I keep winning
Narbilu Hordes and Warmachines
Trollblood - 36 models - 1500 pnt
Khador - 65 models - 2193 pnt
Cryx - 67 models - 1446 pnt
Narbilu Games Workshop
High Elves - 58 models
Eldar - 65 models
I like Broadside especialy if I face some heavy armour.. the twin-linked railgun is usefull and I like battlesuits they are so cool IMO
Ignore Mech Tau. In lower point games such as 1000 points it's better to go for the higher model count Trench Tau provides. Remember, a basic Firewarrior costs only 10 points so feild lots of them. And don't forget the Broadsides with Plasma.
There once was a Lord named Vlad,
Who's fighting skillz really were mad.
He killed and he maimed,
He spilled blood in Khorne's name.
And the fact that he's legal makes me glad

My 1000 pt list includes two broadsides in it and I find it to be very effective. Always have a backup.
Its perfectly ok to use two broadsides. I have done lists with two broadsides w/ shield generators that did quite well, and lists with a hammerhead that did just as well. You deploy them seperately where they will get a good field of fire, and then you're pretty much guaranteed to knock out any enemy armor in a 1000 points. After that, you either use their SMS or plasma rifles, or leave them till the end of the firing order and snipe individual models. .
i'm not going to give you some long drawn out reason to or not to. but i think that 2 is a good idea go for it.

I use 2 Hammerheads with railguns and multi, much more usefull in the new rules.Originally Posted by fcuk26
Never use Broadsides to slow, cant move and shoot, can be insta killed, new drone rules screwed them up etc etc.Love the models and the idea but give me HH anyday.
I've had good experiences with both broadsides and hammerheads... to be honest, I once had 6 broadsides in a 1500 pt game, and lost through sheer luck on my opponent's side...
