I have not had the luxury of seeing the new codex and was just wondering if my present list would be usable with the new codex.
I have 2 tyrants winged and mutated, scyt talons, rending claws and implant with warp blast.
6 warriors 4 with scyth and rending + implant 2 with 2 scyth and implant.
30 gaunts in units of ten with st4, int5 and one hive node per team.
36 genestealers with scyth in units of 12
2000pts of insane CC madness.
Now what would have to change in this list to ake it legal for the new codex, I love this list I have never lost with this list(believe it or not i dont care i have not lost yet)so obviously i want to keep it.
Well, a list may only have one winged Tyrant. The other HQ choice can only be a walking Tyrant or a Broodlord. Also, Hive Nodes are gone, so you'll probably have to undo whatever conversion you applied. Everything else in your list should be legal.

Damn thats bad I love my 2 tyrants walking tyrants just suck, does the instinctive behaviour rule still apply, if it does taking away the node just sucks again. i hope the stealers are worth taking cos i love my stealers
Well, Genestealers now have fleet of foot, though they lose infiltration. With an upgrade they can get Scout, though. Their armour save has also improved (and can get even better with Extended Carapace) and there are a wider range of upgrades for them.Originally Posted by rikimaru

It's not just Hive Nodes, all mutations are gone. And Nottoc found that a Winged CC Tyrant in 4rth is more expensive than in 3rd.
As far as IB goes, it's still in effect, but it's not random. You can choose to lurk which will increase your cover save or you can try to move them by taking a leadership. If you fail, you fall back towards the nearest Synapse now, instead of the table edge (so sometimes you can force a forward move if the Synapse is ahead of the gaunts)
Stealers are just as vicious as Ostol pointed out, more so with their upgrades. But, they get expensive quick. A Stealer with Scuttlers(scout ability) Ex Carapace and STalons is going to run somewhere in the area of 26-28 points a figure. The sheer fact that they won't automatically fall to bolt fire makes them worth those points, since now if the enemy wants them dead for sure he has to turn heavier weapons on them, or commit a lot more units into firing on them.
Warriors may no longer take Imp Attack.
