hi everyone, i just got in to warhammer40k and I chose to start with the necrons and I wanted to know if you guys could help me out. I need help two things first I wanted help with my army im not sure if its a good start and what else I need.
2 lords-1 with warscythe and other with destroyer body, warscythe, ressurrection orb, and phylactery
6 scarab swarms
1 heavy destroyer with a destroyer cannon
1 tomb spyders
and 2nd is about my heavy destroyer. Since it has a destroyer cannon along with the heavy cannon, how many points is he worth? thank you all.
do you have the codex?
u should know that a heavy destroyer can only have a heavy gauss cannon
regular destroyers get a regular gauss cannon
the only character in necrons that can change their weapon is the necron lord and he only get's a warscyth.
heavy destroyer is about 65 or so points i dont have my codex right now so i'm not sure
i know it's in the 60's.
my advice is play a few games and then get some immortals and a monolith
the monolith will be very helpful in a battle
you definitly need to get a codex and another box of warriors. But definitly get the codex first.
"I am the architect of fate!"
well I alredy have a codex, so i dont need to worry about that. and ill look through it to read up on that
You need to read the Big Grey Book (BG, the Rulebook, before anything else. You can get one for around 60$ US (I think). Read that, atleast once, more if you can. Then read through the Codex rules for your army.
As for now, read the Fluff (the non rules) because it's quite interesting, but you really won't understand the codex rules and things until you've read the BGB. You don't actually have to read the entire thing, but you need to read the rules.
