Im playing Iron Warrior? Hands? tomorrow. Which ever is the chaos one. It is 1750 and im doing a USF. This is what he will be getting I know...
and at least 1 squad of 3 oblits.
Now I can not decide on the hq to get. My first instinct said Spear but I might like some mind wars happening to his hq or other.
Let me know what kinds of things might help.
My vote would be both, but that's me. Minimum, take the council, as they will supply you with the warlocks for all your guardians.Originally Posted by windowlicker

If you're thinking about getting units to counter his HQ, do it, but not eccessively. His main strategy will be with the defiler's ordance to stand back behind cover and shoot while the dreadnoughts march forward. The oblits will probably march forward using lascannons or heavy bolters. You will want anti-armor units, and close combat units, preferably fast (moving and initiative) he will try and gun u down, but he will probably have his lord with a strong retinue, at initiative 4. I hope I was helpful, sorry I don't know certain units u should use I don't play Eldar, I play Chaos.
Starcannon Vypers as your fire base, nothing static, you want to be up close and personel with iron warriors, the council with a few witchblades whould deal with most of the stuff with an armour values, maybe a few warlocks leading storm squads with em to to be sure, enhanced of course. Spear will add HtH and maybe a big squad of bansee too, enhanced storm guard by the bucketload and a few defender squads with starcannon. He will be looking to out shoot you, the Strike force is the perfect counter as you can get up close and assault without too much retaliatory fire.
Ask not a question of the eldar, for they will give you three answers all of which are true and horrifying to know.
