Welcome to Librarium Online!
Has anyone used Kroot as allies and what squads would you take? I was thinking of adding some kroot hound squads and a carnivore squad are the norm. I feel that hounds are just very feral. Feral Orks come out of the jungle and woiuld seem fluff wise that a band of kroot mercenaries might join up with them although what the Orks would pay them is anyone's guess. Maybe the spoils of war since Feral Orks just want to fight. Seems to me they have some common interests.
hmm well i have considered adding on kroots to ferals, but i find that to be redundant and well not worth the points.
only reason i'd take kroot mercs is for their sniper heavy support, if i need to take down a nightbringer or something.
otherwise, feral orks alone, are much better. I do see how both are 'feral' in a sense, although the rules and models.. kroot won't IMO aid as much.
Thats my say XD.
yea it does kind of suit the theme of feral orks as they both have similar feel to them but i still side with Murekhalir as feral orks are muchh better than kroot.
Anyway if you read this tau fluff piece and other various ones around the uk gw website the two wouldnt make sense in the fluff as they are mortal enemies i mean orks almost wiped all kroot out.
While I have toyed with the Kroot Mercenary list, like all allies, I feel that adding kroot to orks is gut a way of band-aiding the army. While it might be nice to have sniper rifles, it just does not feel orky, and feeling orky is what it is all about....
For band-aiding, adding Kroot to regular orks works. Adding them to feral Orks is redundant.
