Does anyone out there know where I can find the rules for the eldar tank called the Tempest? Its not epic it is a forgeworld tanki recently got from a friends (stopping playing warhammer liquidation sale) stash. He had the old rules for it but I believe that was 2nd edition.
It has a turret with what looks like giant brightlances, and on top of that turret is another turret with smaller looking versions of the same weapons.
Any help helps.
Well, I cannot find a model called "The Tempest" however, your descriptino makes it sound somewhat like the Scorpion: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/scorp2.htm
If so, pick up the relevant Imperial Armour Book and play it as a Scorpion, although other than that, I can't help you much further.
You cannot win, for to fight us is to give us power.
I wish I had that one. Unfortunatly this one came out around the same time as those falcons that looked like blocks of cheese. Although I think since it is so old I will use it as a scorpion. Thanks for the help.
It's an eldar super heavy tank in EPIC, I can't post the stats or rules because of blah blah blah etc.

"Ah.. i'm almost done with these 3rd quater spreadsheets and still no sign of.."
"What, is up, my dog?"
"Ughhh I'm not your dog"
"Waterman, you crack me up! that's why you're my D-O-G-E"
"Your Doge? What are you talking about? I'm Strong Bad Waterman works in retial shipping resources"
"Ah-ha Good one waterman, I mean good one MY DOG"
It'll look something like this then? (Note: this is not mine.)
It is called a Tempest, but I don't know what rules it had, and it certainly has no rules in the current codex or from Forgeworld. I'd use it as a Scorpion, as Nebulas suggested.
All the old Specialist Games resources are currently being uploaded at the Tactical Command forums, and you can find them here: http://www.sg.tacticalwargames.net/fanatic/.
The tempest tank was made by a company called Armorcast. They were kind of like forgeworld only they were around much earlier. They've been out of the 40k business for quite a while. The armorcast website had rules for it but this was way back in the 2nd edition of 40k. If you want to use that model I suggest using the Vehicle Design rules. If not treat it as a scorpion from forgeworld.
Thats the one Anacron. I think I will VDR it. And now that you mention it ArmorCast does ring a bell. This was bought soooo long ago. Reminds me how long ive been playing this game
Yeah Armorcast made all those old titans and super heavy tanks.. IMO they have the same quality as the old first/early second edition and thus make me want to hang myself when I see an old tempest tank or any of those old tyranid monsters heh
I really despise the MASSIVE front cannons on all the eldar super heavy tanks and general lack of detail when compared to other vehicles. The flyers tho are excellent and well crafted (Talking about forgeworld here)
I remember back in 96 or so when I saw my first one. They were pretty scary, both in price and battlefield uses
