    Tyranids vs Witch Hunters

I need some help with a 1000 pt game vs Witch Hunters. Hes not the smartest player but hes smart enough to take lots of flamers and bolter goodness. This is what I have right now.

    1 Hive Tyrant

6 Warriors with RC, ST, and VC.

18 Genestealers, I could make one pass as a broodlord

    36 Hormagaunts

    48 Spinegaunts

    A bunch of ripper swarms

    3 Biovores

I may be able to pick up a new Army Box. The one with the Carnifex.

    Try

Tyrant: EC, ES, TX, VC, ST & miasma

Broodlord: EC & feeder tendrils retinue 7 Genestealers with EC - 223

    5 Warriors leaping, EC, RC & ST - 175pts

    24 Spinegaunts: - 120pts

    16 hormagaunts: - 160pts
    16 hormagaunts: - 160pts

Thats a 838pt total which leaves 162 to customise your tyrant.

You lack some heavy hitting power for tanks. This list relies on you tyrant ( which is naked without gaurds ) to handle armour. Don't worry about flamers the leapers will charge over their usable range. The heavy bolters are deadly as they are AP4 ( I think ). Hopefully you can swarm him quickly and the 'stealers & warriors shred everything.

    good luck

Make him pay for taking flamers!

Set up so your close enough for assault but hes not close ebnought to flame you, then go CC on him, WH don't have the best CC, as its more specialized CC, and not so much Mass CC.

Unless he uses Seraphim, odds are he either won't hit anything with the flamers when he uses them, or you'll assault before the flamers are used.

Also I would advice you do use a genestealer as a Broodlord.

the BroodLord has the power to walk through most enemy fire, and If he does get unlucky and die easy at least he's been a distraction.
