i was torn apart last night by a boat load of noobs.
"Why do you need 2 tanks?"
"All your weapons are cheesey"
"Why does your spell caster guys have so many abilities"
"All those AP2 weapons are cheese"
"Why do you only have star cannons on yur vypers?"
ugh, makes me sick.
lets see, first off
-eldar falcons are the best in the game!!oh, let me drop a falcon for 3 shining spears if it makes you happy.
-its not my fault that all eldar weapons fall into 2 groups, suck(EML, Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon) and deadly(Bright Lance, Star Cannon, Pulse Laser)!! <---IMO
-i play ulthwe!!! i need to tool up my seer council. its not my fault they all have 4++ rerollable saves.
-back tp the deadly weapons, yes, all 3 weapons worth taking have AP2, .not.my.fault.
-they don't realize vyppers have BS3, the only weapon that has multible shots with decent range, is......a Star Cannon!!!
Eldar, being one of the first races, has had plenty of time to run some R&D on their weapons. so what guardian weapons are Assault 2, its not my fault you play with army issue flash lights?! or your army looks entirely like smrfs!
yes, i was playing against all IG and SM, i demolished all of them, goes to show sportsmanship, huh? i'm betting i only got torn up because i won the tourney.
Eldar are just ripe for this, people who are new always look to the eldar.
You forgot the classics.
That wraithlords cheating, it can't be killed.
How come your whole squad can have power weapons.
You said he's S3 how did he kill my dread?
There a race where its so easy to focus on the good points and forget most of them are T3 with Bacofoil for armour.
When used properly the eldar is an advanced army and tough to beat, and most eldar players are like that because if you don't play smart, you play dead. New players are going to struggle, and no doubt had it been any army other than the one they use the complaints would come in thick and fast.
Usually i just go to veterans night to avoid this kind of whining, or failing that keep up the chatter through the game so they can learn something. When your in a game like that generally speaking victory is assured, the best you can do is hope they learn enough through your hints ' i wouldnt move there' 'Why, my Termies are Ace' 'Because this is a multi-shot killing termies on 2+ cannon' that they become a better player.
Oh and hey you get 4 Shining spears for one super falcon, makes all the difference. *sniggers*
Ask not a question of the eldar, for they will give you three answers all of which are true and horrifying to know.
Oh my various gods!
When does noobs stop complaining about chesse? It doesent even exist, the only thing that exists are bad generals. So, most of our weapons has ap2? Well, that makes it a stupid idea to rely on good armor saves when you face of against eldar... It would be like like relying on supirior firepower vs. tau, or supirior speed vs. dark eldar... it is by all means a stupid idea! But the abundance of n00b space marine commanders out there simply dont get it. This might be because the n00b percentage amongst the SM, the "ideal" starter army, is sky high. Against all other opponents, the winning tactic for a n00b space marine is to march up the center of the battlefield, and laugh as bullets fling of their shiny powerarmor, until they are in rapid fire distance, but do that against eldar, and you´ll be dead by turn 3. Explain to the marine n00bs, that they are inferior generals in a very arrogant and eldarish way, they deserve no better.
I assume that IG are not the ones complaining about your weapons great ap, since thay have not got a single good save in their army, what is the problem? An IG player complaining about you taking 2 tanks sounds wierd. In fact 2 tanks is the lowest number of tanks I have ever seen in an IG army! And again, lasguns are not too bad, but if the general is an idiot, he might not be able to use their supirior range to his advantage.

....not all of us complain......I for one take my licks and learn from it.
Then you are not a n00b, you are a newbie. N00bs dont want to learn, they just loose and cry. Im happy to hear that your kind exists out there... somewhere...
Thanks...I can also say that my very first game ended in a victory over that Eldar 'cheese'
To each race his own benefits i say..
And if they whine too much just tell them to go play Yu-gi-Oh :p
man i hate games like that it makes it so uninjoyable unless you just really wanted to cain them for crying cheese when i stared i hated loseing but i just laugh it off and think you my self man im never doing that again.
(><)This is Bunny. Im helping him on his way to world Domination!
I would like to know what kind of army you used and what they had and the tactics that they used. I would arguee that beardy or cheese does exist but that is a diffrent topic. Any way no army is unbeatable (well except probably the 500 point 3 wraithlord army from hell but if you take that you don't deserve to live.) I would imagine though if i had played them with my space marines i would probably have done what you did to them and get the cry of cheese raised in my direction.
My advice ignore it they will either learn tactics and grow up or they will keep crying about it and eventually no one will play them.
Guys, please be carefull, I dont particularly like the way this thread is going.
Now mod hat off, the nice response is to explain how to deal with AP2 multishot weapons and 2 tanks, but in the real world, it wont work, this is sour grapes, it would be really irresponsible of me as a player and a moderator to suggest you plant your feet shoulder width appart, stick your thumbs in your ears and waggle your fingers about whilst alternatley sticking out your tounge and chanting, I won, you lost, ner ner ner ner, then breaking into an impression of Homer Simpson ("Loooooooser") -but hey, if reasonable arguement dont work, then why not use unreasonable arguement?
I firstly refer you to the 750pt Eldar vs. Tau battle report, where you can see an example of people laying into my army. Still, always fielding Iyanden or Iyanden-like armies one gets used to it. The worst one comes from people playing me in combat patrol. Alright, the list is evil, 3 wraithlords and 10 guardians and all, but it is legal. Dontcha hate it when people suggest you intentionally make a crapper army list just because they lack the skill to beat you? I love this Eldar forum and those on Eldar Online because they are the only places I can discuss this and have everyone sympathise. I feel your pain. The enemy shall feel far worse.
Don't worry too much about life-it isn't permanent.
They say that a space marine is superhuman, a hundred times more powerful than a normal man. Mon-keigh, one hundred times zero is still zero.
Do you hear the screaming? Its Edward Scissorhands wanking...
